Storage 24 (2012)

Genre: Horror
Theme: Alien
Kinda like: Tape 407, ... Alien?
Age Classification: 18

Storage 24 is a British horror movie staring Noel Clarke (Mickey Smith from Dr. Who and writer of Kidulthood). Set in London; the film follows the aftermath of a plane crash which releases a hostile alien into a storage lock up (called Storage 24, clever right?). The first I had heard of this film was when I sat down to watch it, which had me expecting it to be poor, but I was pleasantly surprised by the effects, the gore and general suspense of the movie.

The film mainly follows Clarke's character Charlie, who has just been dumped by Shelly (TV actress Antonia Campbell-Hughes). With the plane crash the area has been suffering power cuts, causing the shutter door to stop functioning, trapping the characters within the storage facility with the Alien; who then starts to hunt down the humans one by one for no explained reason.

So while the film is no masterpiece it is a good "no thinking required" film to pass the time, i'd happily re-watch it with friends.
